Mums for Mums is implementing Irish supported project in coordination with CST in four weredas of central zone: Maiqenetal, Axum, Egella and Ahiferom. In all weredas, MfM established safe spaces for SGBV survivors to provide PSS and other case referral services for one month and two weeks. Currently, MfM’s safe spaces for SGBV survivors in four weredas provide PSS and other case referral services for more than 1600 SGBV survivors. Among 1600 program participants 933 (Maiqenetal 233, Axum 230, Egella 237, and Ahiferom 233) are selected with the active involvement of female community representatives and MfM safe spaces community workers, program participants themselves identify their choice of business area and finally MfM provided them with a total of 21,328,380 the startup capital (22,860 Eth. Birr for each program participant via their specific bank account).
